That last run of the day when the light turns everything gold and the hills feel endless. My favourite place to ride in Otago
This one’s inspired by Matangi Station. Big, raw Central Otago country. Long, loose trails dropping into steep, gnarly lines that make you grin and grit your teeth at the same time. Alexandra stretched out below, the Clutha River winding quietly through the valley, and the Southern Alps catching the last of the sun.
It’s dusty calves, warm air, and that pause at the ridgeline when you realise how lucky you are to be out here.
