The Hooker Valley Track has to be one of the best short walks in the country—easygoing, super scenic, and full of that classic Aoraki magic. It winds through epic alpine views, over swing bridges and past glacial rivers, and ends at Hooker Lake, where you get that unreal view of Aoraki rising above the icebergs.
Aoraki is hands down my favourite subject—there’s just something about the scale, the mood, and how it feels being there. I never get tired of illustrating this mountain!
